| I've just added details of the Japanese version of Midian to the discography section. The Japanese release contains an extra track, which is a cover of the Sabbat song, "For Those Who Died". I've added an MP3 of the track to the MP3 Audio page, and the lyrics to the lyrics page. | ||

| About a week ago (5th November) I sent around an announcement joyously proclaiming that Asphyxiated Oblivion was finally back online. Well it seems I spoke too soon. It was indeed up for a few days, but then (once again) I was the victim of another shoddy web hosting company. Their servers (without notice) went down, and they are still offline as I write this. As a result I have signed up with yet another web hosting company. This time I am confident that I have found a reliable and fast provider, and fingers crossed there are no problems this time. The downside to this is that any user-contributed content added to the site (forum postings, etc.) since 5th November have been lost. If you contributed anything worthwhile during this period, I encourage you to log in and add it once again. Once again I apologise to all the fans who missed out on accessing this site during the downtime, but hope you all get back into it once again. | As you may have noticed, the Asphyxiated Oblivion web site has been down for the last couple of weeks. This was due to a problem with the (ex) web hosting provider for vicious-arrogance.com. I got fed up with waiting for them to restore their failed services, so I am now with a new web hosting provider. Needless to say, I was extremely annoyed with the downtime they caused this site.
However, I am now back with a superior and more reliable web host than before. The discussion forum is back, the online shop is working, and the ASFs are downloadable once more! In fact, everything on the site should be back to its best - and all just in time for one of the most exciting periods for a CoF fan ever! In closing, I apologise to all the fans who missed out on accessing this site during the downtime, but hope you all get back into it once again. | The latest addition to the Asphyxiated Oblivion site is the Online Shop. The shop provides a large catalogue of CoF merchandise that is available over the Internet. It lists an extensive collection of CDs, videos, posters, shirts, and other accessories - enough to please even the most avid of CoF fans. Alongside each item in the shop is a price, and link to a site where you can buy that item. The shop can be accessed from the Online Shop link in the main menu. | ||

| For some time now the official URL for the Asphyxiated Oblivion Cradle of Filth site has been http://i.am/CradleOfFilth. i.am is a redirection service which teleports users from an easy to remember URL (such as http://i.am/CradleOfFilth) to the real (and not so easy to remeber) URL where the site is hosted (eg. http://www.uq.net.au/~zznmarch/AsphyxiatedOblivion/cradleof.htm). For a long time the i.am service has proved useful to me, but recently they changed their service for the worse (by adding popup banner ads and becoming inaccessible from some regions of the world). As a result of this change, I am forced to make a change to the official URL of this site. From now on, I ask that everyone access the site using http://www.vicious-arrogance.com/AO/. Please update your bookmarks and links to reflect this change. |

| As you all know, the Asphyxiated Oblivion site is heavily based on user-contributions, such as links to MP3s, ASFs, and other CoF sites. While it's fantastic to receive such contributions from eager fans, it is time-consuming for me to continually check upon the links to ensure their validity. That is why I've made an interface for you to edit or delete your own links. This way you can remove a link if it goes offline, or change the details of the link if you make a mistake. I encourage everyone who contributes links to keep an eye on them, and remove them when they no longer work. When you log in you will see 'Edit' links alongside any Links/MP3s/ASFs that you have contributed. Clicking this will provide you with a form for editing the link details. Unchecking the 'Online' box will cause your link to be deleted from the site. Thanks for helping me make this the best possible CoF site it can be! |

| Welcome to the new Asphyxiated Oblivion Cradle of Filth site! As you may have noticed, I have been busy over the last couple of months redoing the entire site from scratch. The new site has lots of interesting new features - enough to keep even the most avid of CoF fans happy.
The focus of the new site is on user contribution. In every possible section I have made it so that you - the CoF fan - can contribute to the content of the site. Whether it be by posting a forum message, commenting on an album review, or adding an MP3 link, *you* help make up the content of the site. In order to contribute to the site you will need to have a user account. You will be asked to enter a username and password whenever you want to add something to the site. Note that user accounts from my old CoF discussion forum work here - so those of you that have one don't need to sign up again. Rather than go into details about the new features of the site, I will let you discover them yourself. So have fun, start exploring the site, and start contributing! Help me make this the best possible CoF site it can be! |
